Name: Yesheng Chazhuan ’90, 野生茶砖
Year: 1990
Weight: chunks of a 300 grams brick
Details:
A tea brick made from wild (Yěshēng) old tea tree leaves back in 1990. The tea soup starts very early as a shu pu-erh. No doubt this tea has age, a long age with dry, well ventilated Taiwan storage. It’s strong energy hits the head with first brew after a longer initial (rinse, still encourage to try it) zero brew. The at first is very deep, dark and still refined. The aftertaste brings up exotic woods hints, like a resin hint. Later brews bring nice sweet flavours. The brews go for a long time.
This is a rare find, using such a good quality old tea trees leaves with a combination of good dry Taiwan storage. The brick is made with a traditional old way style. The recipe is also called or rather numbered 9062.
