This taste is not even tea taste, something cooked and baked, some baked grains or light sweeted cookies, this is a strong tea, I think for the start 20-30 seconds are too long steeping time, dark chocolate notes at the background, with some notes of assam black tea which is good as assam is going back to the native tea tree species, roots and earth notes like in gushu shengs appear, the exotic woods like myrha comes up,
personally I love this lately, it’s taste like wood resin, it is very interesting that after so many years of tea drinking my senses sense other new notes in teas, like this I call exotic woods or rather lets say incense notes, simply I did not notice that before and now it is so delightfull when in appears in my mouth,
ohh these ristretto drops, the lazy drops that remains on the tea leaves after emptying the teapot slowly dripping to the bottom are full of burnt sugar caramel like notes, the lazy drops inspired me to make a few long strong brews as this tea is less fruity and floral so that rather heavier woody notes come up that I like really strong, even it’s 7-8 th brew the long brews can get really strong which says the tea leaves are a ‘good material’ indeed, full piercing woody spiceness which is the soul of these rocky teas, finding little or so nutrition on those rock and it’s like sucking out minerals of the rocks, ohh love this strong brew…
Not sticking to some prescribed techniques or methods for making teas gives me winds to fly to a direction I choose and experience. And this experience is the core of learning and the beauty of new and new reality that we all can create. The tea leaves represents the nature where they grew, the elements that are made of the same as the mountains of the birth, the energy, the vibration is the same as the enviroment of Wuyi shan.
