If you like Rou Gui tea then this Wild one will struck you on all levels, the aroma, the taste and body feelings. This is a Yefang one, meaning released into wild, a cultivated kind of Rou Gui cultivar was planted into a forest and there was left growing without human intervention. A strong and aromatic spicyness is emited instantly with the first brew even using only about 3 grams of leaves with little water. The mountfeel is very natural with light tingling Qi. The scent of tea when brewed in the teapot is very much forest like. Second brew brings more depth and distinct ‘cinamon’ feel. The aftertaste is flavourfull. Hints of juicy fruits. Baked cinamon rolls like tea soup of course with less sugar but the feel is very similar. The soup is very pure like mountain spring water, smooth and crystal clear feel.
in order to fully understand or start to comprehend Yancha Oolong teas, try to brew it with 3 grams only in your tinies teapot you have and using just a bit water, covering the tea leaves, first brews can be only flash brews then prolonging them for even minutes, the true essence of these teas can be ‘dismantle’ first with these ‘rather not that rich’ tasting profile, distinguishing the details better, I personaly find ‘hardcore’ way using 8 or so grams for one-two person brewing
all these yancha oolong offered are pure and clean, in terms of taste and scents at the same time, the roasting is done finely and complemets each tea at a just right level, they all come from a respected generations long tea making trustworthy family
