this is an authentic, well aged, in a few years a 50 year old tea,it is still for an affordable price
today (16.10.23) I had a very brief tasting of this tea and it just simply blow off my head, not suddenly but gradually my head grow and almost lifted my body, there is a sudden click with some teas, a click I call a mind switch, myself I would call this mind turn off and stayed tuned in the present moment, no bothering thoughts
this tea has an unique taste (some regional, mountain character) in the first brew but brew by brew is more refined and ‘unified’
checking the wet leaves, finding thick stalks, strong veins points to be a gushu puerh leaves material and also the taste suggest that
I feel I ‘decoded’ the unique taste, this is the character of Veian’s tea or rather the tea mountain of part of Thailand. So if you want to know how pu-erh.sk cakes will age you should try this maocha. I admit the maocha would age differently but still you have the feel, the essence of these teaa imprinted in these old leaves.
The photo with the dark and bright cup of tea is a comparison of this old buddy with 2019 gushu maocha also from Veian, the same tea garden. There were several very similar characteristics during this comparison. Especially the taste evolvement of the old and the new tea leaves. A very good lesson and introduction to old teas. The slow opening of flavours and aromas are a very characteristic of gushu puerh teas. The old notes are genuine and not pretending anything, there is this pure oldish notes that are being enriched with the flavours of tea and creating a true aged tea experience.

Darkly fruity, drying, bitter, like dry earth with smoky hints. I hope it doesn't sell out too quickly... I might want more! XD
