This is a selection of five oldest and tastiest tea trees from VeiAn ancient tea garden. These years pressing is released after almost a year of its harvest. The pressing is similar to the previous year, pretty hard so you would need good tools or a long time to have it aged. Still I believe this tea is worth of the combat.

I recomend to reserve a special and longer time to prepare and drink this tea.

The tea unfolds slowly as a slow old person waking up but the patience is rewarded by a rich experience of this mighty tea.

The bitterness reminds me of Lao Man’e teas, but not the taste of the bitterness but the sharpness and the cooling effect of it.

The mind clicks into meditative mode and it as everything slows down, almost stops in time. At first brews it as almost nothing interesting present but attentive mind delves into a depthness of this tea.

A steep by steep the intensity of this tea climbs up the ladder. Even I felt at some point I can’t get more of this tea, the body effect is very strong.

This will not happen suddenly by slowly builds up. The purity of tea, the tasty nuttiness, sometimes going to very bitter herbs like notes. The senses get sharp so the aromas getting stronger, as I wrote at the begining one will say ‘so what?’ but this is a tea made of 500 years old tea trees that have  rooted so deep and far and lived so long that their leaves must contain its essence, the fluid of times.

I used 4 grams only and brewing half pot that is about 50-60 ml but the session gives so much. At some point is like chewing fresh tea leaves of these trees which is pretty intensive experience.

In case you would like to know how this tea will age try the 2014 ‘s Yuna’s heroes and I believe this tea will be much more stronger that this one.
