a strong and rich from the start, thick like an oil, refined and pure shu puerh taste, irony so that sweet lingering taste, a very different taste profile from most of the shu puerh teas, I drank only once a similar and that was a ‘luxury’ shu puerh made in Lao Banzhang, this tea taste like old ‘new’ sheng puerh, new meaning it does not have storage notes, an energy hits the veins, flowing through the body, a strong body feeling
this is a rare occasion having shu puerh tea made from gushu maocha and from such a famous and tasty area like Banpen is, such teas are made only occasionally and are a treat to drink
