GǔShù HuáZhú Liángzi '15

Name: GǔShù HuáZhú Liángzi '15
Year: 2015 first spring plucking
Weight: 250 grams (4 cakes in one bamboo tong/tube)

Details:
These are retasting notes written in 2016. The taste is clear, undisturbed, wild honey like bitterness rapidly turning sweet in the mounth. Pleasent aftertaste.  No hint of freshness anymore, the aroma of a fresh hay is gone.

I have visited Huazhu this year and left the village with a very good feeling of a ecological tea mountain. The people care for their tea trees. The tribe left their home about 300 years ago, they moved from one of 6 ancient tea mountains to find a new home. This was the time they established their oldest tea garden hidden in the forest. The tea trees are well set inside the forest growing in harmonious eco system, around 2200 metres above the sea level.
