Natsumegata kiku

Name: Natsumegata kiku (Jujube shape, chrysanthemum pattern)
Content: 1,4 liter
Description: An iron casted kettle, the inside of the kettle is not enameled inside. The kettle is treated with a rust based coat, an old traditional technique for high end kettles, so that the kettle looks like an old one, rusted, still it is protected against rust with this coating. It is 100% made in Japan. The kettle come with a free 1 kg authentic wooden charcoal made in austrian Alps by a last traditional charcoal workshop.

Note: This kettle has been tested. The water was reboiled several times in it so that this 'activation' step can be skipped once bought it. The water is pleasantly mellow, sweetish. The use of this kettle is very delicate, you need to find the right balanced mastery way of pouring water.  The kettle is rather lightweight, it weights 1455 grams. The lid 'handle' is very handy to use to lift, using hands or a chopstics once it gets very hot. The kettle handle (not hollow) might get hotter when heated longer than one hour. So it is an elegant kettle, with its shape, design and also its use. Recommended for people who's tea preparation is rather a tea ceremony, a focused way of doing tea with enjoyment of graceful movements and appreciations of tea utensils.
